Hi, I'm Glenn and I provide manual driving lessons in Farnham, Surrey.
I've been a Farnham resident for the last 22 years. You may not yet know me as a Driving Instructor but you may already know my name as a trusted and respected Painter and Decorator in the local area. During my time running a successful business I understand how important it is to build a strong reputation for customer service and I am proud of the many Google reviews my painting and decorating business has. I'm fully DBS checked and in the past was an assistant Scout Leader.
I had always intended to become a driving Instructor when I turned 60, however, last year (at the age of 53), I taught my daughter, Izzy, to drive. The experience was for the vast majority of the time a real joy and we succeeded in navigating the often tricky parent / child on the road experience. I'm delighted to say that she passed her test first time, so I decided to bring forward the journey of training to become a fully licensed Driving Instructor. I feel confident that I can now instruct and coach you or your child with the same level headed, calm and professional manner, whilst I complete the necessary hours and continue to be assessed by my excellent trainer in order to move from a DVSA licensed trainee to a fully qualified Instructor.
I've held a clean driving licence for 35 years and have owned more than 25 different cars (yes, really). Rear wheel drive, front wheel drive, four wheel drive, sports cars, old slow cars, vans, and most recently a motorbike. This means I understand how different types of vehicle handle in varying road and weather conditions and can explain (if necessary, or simply you are curious!), situations that can cause, for example, under steer (as is today most likely to happen with the majority of modern cars being front wheel drive). I'm sure you can tell by now that I really like cars and driving!
